From your ACSA Board

It is not too early to begin thinking about September Nominations and the October Election. If you are interested in helping ACSA by making yourself available for any of the three elected positions or if you wish to encourage someone to consider one of these positions, please start having those conversations now. Having a smooth transition with all positions filled in October will benefit all club members and is especially important this year as there are three open elected positions. The current board members are available to answer questions about duties, skills needed and time commitments for any of the open positions. We look forward to talking with you!

Background:
The President is elected by the membership for a two year term in even numbered years (serving in 2021 and 2022)

The Range Master and Members-At-Large are elected by the membership for a two year term in odd numbered years (serving in 2020 and 2021)

The President appoints the Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary for a two year term and the Territorial Governor for a 1 year term. The appointments may be new people selected by the incoming President; the current officeholders if the incoming President wishes to retain them and they are willing to continue on the Board, or a combination of both. Appointments are approved by voice vote of the membership in December.

Open Elected Positions:
1. The position of President is open, in its normal cycle for a two year term.

2. The position of Match Director is open, out of normal cycle for 2021 only. Another election will take place for a two year term in October 2021.

3. The position for one Member-at-Large is open, out of normal cycle for 2021 only, as Bender is resigning at the end of this year. Another election will take place for a two year term in October 2021.
